The Romanian Mioritic Shepherd Dog is a large, shaggy livestock guardian with a long, slightly wavy white or pale coat, a heavy head, and dropped ears. The outline is powerful and rustic, built for mountain flocks.

A massive, shaggy flock guardian for rural space; serious coat work, night patrol, and no fit for a small apartment.

The Romanian Mioritic Shepherd Dog is a flock guardian from the Carpathians. It lived with sheep against wolves and bears. The UKC classes it as a Herding Dog in this table; its work is that of a guardian.
